Gretchen C. Weinstein November 30, 1939 – May 8, 2023 On Thanksgiving Day, 1939, a beautiful baby was born. Joining mom, dad and sister, she burst on the scene, now a wonderful family of four. She was feisty and smart, creative and strong, this beautiful girl, so alive! With her talent still blooming, she took on the world, and all that she touched truly thrived. She met Andy, her love, and fell head over heels, putting college and such things on pause. Together they started their family and lives, and had 4 kids, 2 birds and 9 dogs. When the kids were all grown, having kids of their own, her artistic vision could grow. She went back to school earning magna cum laude and a Master of Fine Arts, you know. In the manner of artists and lovers and moms, she saw possibility, beauty and love. In every stone, piece of wood, clay, glass or canvas, the true form of each came alive. These sculptures, mosaics and paintings live on, and her beautiful memory will last. And her loved ones will hold her so close in their hearts even after our artist has passed. We love you, Momma! Gretchen C Weinstein was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother plus daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was also an incredibly talented artist, who graduated magna cum laude with her MFA. She was so talented that when you see her work, the most common response is “WOW!” Whether she sculpted stone, wood, or clay, painted people or landscapes, made mosaics from tile, glass or stone pieces, the result was unbelievably beautiful. She is survived by people that love and will miss her: • Her husband – Andy • Her daughters and son – Susana, Diana and husband Barry, Richard, and Laura • Her grandchildren – Miranda, Sara and husband Michael, Andrew, Olivia, Elena and husband Austin, Haley, Samantha, Emma, and Sullivan • Her great-grandchildren – Jude and soon to be born baby boy • Many nieces, nephews, friends and fans Thank you, Momma, for all you did and left for us to see and remember.
