Linda Joyce Monroe

Linda Joyce Monroe was called home on July 28, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Frankie Lynn Monroe, children Jamie Gallier, Bridgette Singh, Justin Monroe,and sons-in-law Ronald Gallier, Brandon Gubser, and daughter-in-law Edyta Monroe. Her grandchildren, Andrew Monroe, William Fay III, Alexander Fay, Briana and Nathan Hunt, Sierra and Zac Davis, Devon Gallier, Madison Monroe, Tesla Monroe, Caden Gubser, and her great-grandchildren, Beau and Hailey Hunt will all carry on her gift of life and love. Her siblings include brothers Gary Silcock, Frank Silcock, and Leslie Silcock, and sister Karen Woolley. She is preceded in death by her parents Gale and Wanda Silcock, and her son Franklin Monroe. Linda was born to Gale and Wanda April 11, 1945 in Fresno, California, where her family grew and lived for most of her life. She attended school and graduated from McClain High School before attending a beauty school. She later met and married her first husband, Jerry Singh, and had her first two children. After her divorce she met her surviving husband, Frank Monroe as he was finishing his service for the United States Navy alongside her brother, Gary. They married soon after meeting, and had a baby boy that tragically died in his infancy, Franklin. She and Frank were fortunately blessed with another son, Justin, always a light in their lives. Linda went into the grocery business, earned the title of Journeyman clerk, and was respected and always very well liked. She always displayed a strong sense of hard work, compassion, fairness, kindness, and warmth and love. Once they were both retired, Linda and Frank moved to Texas, so they could be close to their children and grandchildren that live in Spring. Linda and Frank enjoyed travelling, camping, visiting with friends and family, and had a passion for motorcycling, country western/honky tonk dancing, and just good old "partying". She loved to party and was a social butterfly! Linda had a zest for life, was very outgoing, warm, and friendly, and was generally loved by all who knew her. She shared funny stories and tall tales that sometimes seemed unreal. Either way, she was quite the entertainer and wanted to make sure anyone who befriended her felt like family, felt they had a place. Linda was a one of a kind, very special soul and beautiful person. To speak of her and her memory, we carry on her legacy of love and kindness. We know that she herself is now in a much better place, and is reunited with her loved ones. We will miss her greatly and treasure all the wonderful memories.
