While I never had the pleasure of meeting her, I feel as though I had a glimpse into her life through her granddaughter Stephanie Palmer who adored her and kept me abreast of “Gran’s adventures”. She struck me as a dynamic and vivacious person who lived quite an interesting existence and was loved and touched by many. I was amazed but not surprised to learn that she was both a sheriff and constable during her lifetime. Her legacy will continue throughout those who knew and loved her. When my brother passed at 32 in 2006, I set out to celebrate his life, rather than mourn his death and I think that a similar tribute to Gran would be both appropriate and fitting. My heartfelt condolences go out to the Palmer family.

To sit and visit with Mrs. Nancy was to eye witness the countenance of Christ. A beautiful Lady, inside and out. Love and respect, Kelly & Lee Ann Kemp

TO OUR DEAR SISTER PALMER
Before we go our separate ways, let us take leave of our sister. May our farewell express our affection for her; may it ease our sadness and strengthen our hope. One day we shall joyfully greet her again when the love of Christ, which conquers all things, destroys even death itself.

Trusting in God, we have prayed together for our dear Sister and now we come to the last farewell. There is sadness in parting, but we take comfort in the hope that one day we shall see her again and enjoy her friendship. Although this family will disperse in sorrow, the mercy of God will gather us together again in the joy of his kingdom. Therefore let us console one another in the faith of Jesus Christ.

I use to sit next to her during Bible class at Katy Church of Christ and I would visit with her after class and she always had a smile on her face and she always had a necklace and earrings on. I always told her how beautiful she looked. She was a special lady and friend to me. I'm so sorry for your loss. Love always Pat McHugh
