Alice Norma Reneau

Alice Norma Reneau was born November 9, 1937 in Belize, Central America to the late Valen Pinkard and Eric Rice. She departed this life on November 17, 2015 in Spring, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Valen Pinkard and Eric Rice; daughter, Diana; and son, Nelson. She left to cherish her memories, husband, Joseph Reneau; children, Rose and Irene Welch, Steve Reneau & wife Marlie, Joseph Jr., Wernell, and Josephine Reneau & fiancé Gary Richards; brother, Eric Rice Jr.; aunt, Lally Kingston; uncles, Duncan, Robert, and Bill Pinkard; 26 grandchildren, Earl and Paul Petterson, Larry Flowers, Natasha Cadle, Norman, Norris, and Kareem Straughan, Shaunna Welch, Derek and Natasha Kingston, Vincent, Dextor, and Leon Brown, Vinnesha Innes, Megan, Andre, and Alexander Reneau, Joseph III, Wernell Jr., Wesley, Wendell, and Yandell Reneau, Justina and Colin Ysaguirra, Jahmille Campbell, and Dylan Gotoy; along with 13 great grandchildren and other extended family and friends. Alice enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family and friends in her home. She looked forward to family gatherings. She enjoyed listening to music, especially Jim Reeves. The family wake up on a Sunday morning to the sound of Jim Reeves and the aroma of food. She was an avid coupon clipper, and enjoyed shopping. Alice’s husband and children were her life and she was their rock. Like her children and grandchildren would say, “Mommy made everything happen.” A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM STEVE RENEAU: “To all my family and friends, my mother was fighting the good fight with diabetes for quite some time now... she would always complain about her aches and pains ,she would often call me when I was visiting her... to give her a massage when she's in pain...my Mother was self-employed cleaning homes to provide for us... when I was younger she took me a few times to work with her... only then I realized how much sacrifice my mother made to provide for us and to try give us a good life. In the summertime her greatest pleasure was taking us to the beach... she would often invite her friends to come along to the beach... those memories she gave us will be with us forever... Her greatest joy was when the whole family was together visiting her especially on Sunday when she would cook her stew chicken and rice and beans and potato salad... my mother really enjoy cooking... whenever my family our friends was visiting she would always make had something to eat ... my mother was very loving to us and she had that equal love for all her kids... but when was time for us to get discipline she was very strict with that... sometimes discipline would include getting a good whipping with the belt. And that's because she really loved and wanted us to do the right thing... Please accept our heartfelt thanks for your kind wishes and prayers at this very sad time for our family, especially my father who is now going to be home without my mother... but I'm sure the good Lord is going to give him the strength to get past this...
