Beatriz Vargas Gallardo

Beatriz Vargas de Gallardo was born on July 15, 1943 and passed away on January 8, 2024 in Spring, Texas at the age of 80. Beatriz was born in Mexico, in the small ranch community of La Lagunilla, in the municipality of Caracuaro de Morelos, Michoacan. She emigrated to the US in the 1970s and lived in Chicago for nearly 20 years before moving to Houston where she lived the remainder of her life. Beatriz was a woman of deep faith. Through hard work and much sacrifice, she dedicated her life to pursuing a better life and opportunities for her children. She instilled a deep faith and a love of God to her children who have fond memories of the nightly family prayer time and frequent rosaries. She loved being surrounded by her many children, numerous grandchildren, and great grandkids. One of her greatest joys was large family gatherings at her ranch where she cooked huge feasts and rejoiced in having everyone together. She leaves a legacy of 10 children, 31 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Beatriz is survived by her husband of 49 years, Martin Gallardo, Daughters – Imelda Cortez (Adalberto Cortez), Magdalena Martensen (Steve Martensen), Ruzvelina Samaniego (Carlos Samaniego), Nancy Gallardo (Javier Lozano), Sons – Ismael Alcaraz, Vicente Alcaraz (Socorro), Alfredo Alcaraz (Rosario), Jorge Alcaraz (Gabriela), Sisters/Brothers – Efrain Vargas, Ismael Vargas, Reyna Vargas, Lucia Tentori, Porfirio Vargas, Esperanza Ortega, Grandchildren - Evelyn Melchor, Lupita Manrique, Noemi Gonzalez, Ismael Alcaraz, Viridiana Alcaraz, George Alcaraz, Krystal Alcaraz, Robert Alcaraz, Christine Alcaraz, Michael Alcaraz, Rosario Medina, Daniel Alcaraz, Olivia Alcaraz, Olisa Alcaraz, Samantha Martin, Tim Martin, Robert Martin, Jessica Martensen, Siliana Martensen, Emily Esserman, Jorge Alcaraz, Diego Alcaraz, Pablo Alcaraz, Julian Alcaraz, Alicia Alcaraz, Fernando Samaniego, Natalia Samaniego, Julieta Samaniego, Carlos Samaniego and Alejandro Lozano. Beatriz is preceded in death by Parents - Alfredo Vargas and Genoveva Cortez, Hortencia Alcaraz (daughter), Alfega Martin (daughter), Emmanuel Alcaraz (grandson), Nestor Vargas (brother), Emperatriz Vargas (sister).
