David Alvin Rupp Jr.

David “Dave” Alvin Rupp Jr. passed away July 29, 2024 at the age of 54. Dave was born on January 10, 1970 in Philadelphia, PA to David A. Rupp Sr. and Arlene Marie Pratt. Dave was proud to call himself a true Texan for over 30 years. Dave was a proud Navy Veteran and man of many talents, well rounded in many different fields of artistry. He attended community college for Auto Cad, was a dedicated Boy Scout Leader and Volunteer with his sons and Dave was undoubtedly successful in his career path in the oilfield. He dedicated 35 years to becoming a Project Manager, Rig Surveyor and Technical Salesman, where he was able to travel extensively in and out of the country. Dave is survived by his spouse; Colette Rupp, sons; Joshua and Samuel Rupp, Timmy Weinert; daughter; Kirsten Grice (Rupp) and son-in-law; Andrew Grice, father; David A. Rupp Sr. and wife Pat McGrath, mother; Arlene Marie Hook (Pratt), brother; Darryl Rupp, grandchildren; Abram, Jude, Journee, Annabelle, Teagan, Noah, Thomas and Benji. Dave's greatest and most proud moments being a Loyal and Loving Husband, Father, Son, Brother, and Pop Pop. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family. David also had a deep love for his cats. He loved to travel, fish, camping, music, tubing, researching pumps- centrifuges, he even had a hand in mfg., watching TV and playing Angry Birds, in his spare time. He loved watching the voice, a sentimental fool who would just ball watching and listening, knowing the stories behind the people, and feeling their words. He had the gift of being able to feel a soul. David was a deep and old soul, himself, who was so generous and loving he would do anything for those he loved. He would do anything to help, not only a friend, but also, a stranger in need. He was the biggest Goofball we have ever met, so funny and constantly cracking a joke, or making the most crazy, silly face that could make you forget all your worries! We loved our lake days, which were plenty! Although, he just hated that heat and sun, he loved us more…..so he went and not w/o a few choice words, but we knew.... he secretly loved every minute! He was a comfort and blessing to all who knew him. David Rupp was a Beautiful and Precious Man Loved by so many!
