In Memoriam: Ernest Parrish (January 18, 1976 - December 7, 2023) It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Ernest Parrish, affectionately known as "Ernie" or "Mouth," on December 7th, 2023. Born in Gallatin, Tennessee on January 18th, 1976, Ernie was the cherished son of Johnny Bull and Katherine Burgess. Ernie's formative years were marked by his unwavering passion for sports, notably on the basketball and football fields of Gallatin. Mentored by Homer Witt, fondly referred to as "Pa," Ernie cultivated his love for sports through spirited games of softball and volleyball. His spirited escapades with cousin Anthony Witt are etched into the memories of all who knew him. While attending Gallatin High School, Ernie discovered his lifelong partner, Dawn, during those formative years. Their journey together led them to Houston, Texas in 1995, where they established their life. The union was sealed in matrimony in April 1998, and soon after, Ernie welcomed his beloved daughter, Alexis, into the world in 2000. Ernie's professional path traversed the automotive industry at Texaco Express-Lube, where he worked alongside family and close friends. A change in direction led him to a fulfilling career as a CDL truck driver in the Crane & Rigging field. With dedication and passion, Ernie ascended to the role of Crane Operator at TNT Crane & Rigging, marking the culmination of his professional journey. Outside the confines of the crane, Ernie found immense joy in the company of his family, traveling on vacations, golfing, bowling, leisurely pool days and never failed to make a pit stop to shop at a great gas station. A self-proclaimed connoisseur of music, Ernie took pleasure in sharing his favorite genres with those around him. A passionate supporter of the Tennessee Titans and Tennessee Volunteers, his enthusiasm was infectious. Preceded in death by his father Johnny Bull, grandparents Homer and Phoebe Witt, and father-in-law Kenneth Stewart, Ernie is survived by his devoted wife Dawn Parrish, cherished daughter Alexis Parrish, supportive brother Rocky Shrum, and his loyal fur companions, Gracie & Diesel. Beyond his immediate family, Ernie leaves behind a vast network of friends who will forever hold his memory dear. Ernie's stubborn exterior concealed a heart of gold. As a loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, cousin, and friend, his absence leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives. Though the world is forever changed without Ernie, his spirit will endure in our hearts. Friends and family are cordially invited to celebrate Ernie's life at Addison Funeral Home in Spring, Texas, on December 15th, 2023, from 2 PM to 4 PM.
