Graham Thomas Heflin was born on December 17, 1969 to Susan Keck Heflin and Frank Heflin in Houston, Texas. Graham passed away on April 10, 2025 in Houston, Texas at the age of 55. Graham had many wonderful attributes that made up his unique characteristics as a person. You may not have experienced them all at once but all of us here who spent time with him will recognize these traits. Chief among these attributes, he was a problem solver, a fighter, ambitious, very intelligent and meticulous. He was also adventurous, witty and daring. Graham was a teacher, a mentor, a true friend, a fighter, a lover and your biggest cheerleader. His superpower along with mentoring was socializing! Graham was a loving and affectionate person and once you were in Graham’s orbit, he was exceptionally loyal and caring. He was a profound mentor and advisor. He always portrayed loyalty and integrity in every aspect of his life. Graham worked hard and played hard. He loved traveling and having a good time with friends and family over drinks. He loved socializing, telling a good story, and genuinely having a good time with all. His hobbies included sports, cars, fishing, helping others and yard work. Graham proudly served our country as a sailor in the US Navy. He graduated from the Navel Nuclear Power School in 1990 and served on the USS Greenling (submarine) as a nuclear machinist mate. After his military service, he attended and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Tech University. Graham was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in 2023 and continued to work up until his passing. He was a tough fighter and never let it stop him from living and supporting those around him. He always had a positive, uplifting attitude and many didn’t even know he was sick. Despite his illness, he was always expecting and looking forward to the next time he would see you. The positive mindset, courage and strength Graham maintained while working and going through this battle was truly inspiring. Graham didn’t just raise his kids; he raised everyone around him. He taught his sons to be men, to show up, to work hard, to lead with love and to be the kind of husband who makes others feel safe, seen and loved. He didn’t preach, he lived his values everyday with humility, humor and a heart wide open. Later in his life he gave his heart to Jesus Christ and in his last days he was confident where he would spend eternity. We know now he is at peace and his distinct laughter is echoing in Heaven… still cheering us on! As we honor the life and legacy of Graham we cannot forget to mention his incredible work ethics at Advance Auto Parts, where he proudly served as a team member, Sales Manager, District Leader, friend and mentor to many people, partners, regions and business units for the last 20 years. During his tenure at Advance, his positive impact and support will be felt for years and years to come. The amount of love and grief felt and expressed by everyone is a true testament of the incredible man he was and he will be deeply missed by all. Graham was a very kind, humble and fiercely strong man and leader, He was a loving husband, supportive dad and stepparent, a proud grandpa, your best friend and a hero to many here and left behind. He taught us how to love, to parent, to be strong and to live with integrity. He had a big heart, a quick wit and never missed a chance to pick on the people he loved the most. He showed us what it means to work hard, love harder and truly live life. Graham leaves behind his home family and his Advance family and all the many lives he touched throughout his life and career. All of s feel the lasting impact he has made on our hearts. Graham is survived by his loving wife of 10 years; Julie Heflin, daughter; Analisha Betz (Jacob Betz) stepdaughter; Daeya Turner, son; Christopher Heflin (Ani Maranon), stepsons; William Heintschel III, Dylan Turner (Lauren Turner), and Jadon Turner, father; Frank Heflin, grandchildren; Lydia Betz, Jaxon Turner and Emery Turner. Graham is preceded in death by his mother; Susan Keck Heflin, brother; James Heflin, uncle; Jack Heflin, grandparents; Raymond and Mildred Heflin and Elmer and Olive Keck.
