Harry Jesse Trevino

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Harry Jesse Trevino Jr., a beloved brother, husband, father and grandfather. Harry Jesse Trevino Jr., of Houston, TX passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the age of 78 years old. Harry was born on July 5, 1942 to Harry and Stella Trevino Sr. in Gonzales, TX. He shared his childhood with his siblings, Ida Gonzalez, Yolanda Luna, Delilah Alva, Bonnie Collins, Brenda Bacerra, Michelle Molina and Michael Trevino. At a very young age, he learned to work hard and helped his parents in the orchards. He was his dad's right hand man for everything and contributed to support his family. In 1962 he met the love of his life and best friend Mary "Lola" Castillo. They settled in Houston, TX and lived inseparable for over 40 years and together raised 7 children, Melinda Alba, Cindy Hernandez, Becky Mugford, Sandra Trevino, Terra Galvan, Harry Trevino III and Larry Trevino and he also had Michelle Dilliard and Sandra Donis. While in Houston, Harry worked many jobs and was always recognized for his outstanding work ethics and his knack for painting and repairing things. His diligence and professionalism always granted him the opportunity to quickly advance into management and his fellow colleagues became life long friends. Harry was a good father and husband and always did the best he could to provide for his family and was undeniably a loving grandfather and great grandfather to many. Harry loved to wake up early in the morning and sit on his porch and drink his coffee alone or with the company of others. He loved to work in his yard and always kept his yard in excellent condition. His hobbies included, being a stellar dancer, playing pool, watching John Wayne movies while eating his popcorn, listening to Tejano music and always dressed to impress. He had an undeniable ability to make people laugh and his sense of humor is one of a kind. Lastly, he was most passionate about the love given and received from his family as family was the pivotal essence of his life. He had a large family and has been a major presence in the lives of his children and grandchildren. Harry was a force to be reckon with but ultimately had a heart of gold. Harry is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Stella Trevino Sr., siblings, Yolanda Luna, Brenda Bacerra, Michelle Molina, wife, Mary "Lola" Trevino, and son, Larry Trevino. Harry is survived by his children, Melinda Alba, Cindy Hernandez, Becky Mugford, Sandra Trevino, Terra Galvan, Harry Trevino III and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. This wonderful, loving and caring man has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be forever loved and missed.
