Kathleen Margaret Ammann

Kathleen Margaret Bonnell Ammann, age 66 of Tomball, Texas, was born in Hempstead, New York on August 31, 1958, to Judith Caporale and Richard Bonnell. She was the eldest of three siblings, born before Kristine Strohmaier and Kymberly Harvell. Kathy attended North Babylon High School, and afterwards she welcomed Jennifer and Jessica into the world before relocating to Texas and started her career as a caterer for a majority of her early years. Kathy met John through her former coworkers on a blind date in Houston, Texas. They then married in Houston on March 21, 1987, and fused their family together. Two years later, they welcomed their fourth daughter, Stephanie into the family. After many travels, memories, and moves, Kathy and John settled in Spring, Texas in 1993. On their 13th anniversary, they welcomed Cassandra into their family, and two years later, Alyssa. Kathy was strong, stubborn, social, and charismatic. She loved making friends, gardening, and she enjoyed people watching. Her biggest interests were her children, friends, traveling, and making the most out of the moment. She loved Words with Friends, crime shows, home improvement shows, and Wheel of Fortune. One of Kathleen’s favorite slogans was “I love you more”. After a life-long battle with physical ailments and survived hardships, she sadly passed with liver cancer on November 6th, 2024 at 4:45am. Kathleen is welcomed with open arms by Jennifer Ammann (daughter), Judith Caporale (mother), Richard Bonnell (father and best friend), Jacob Snider (grandson), Elizabeth Barber (sister-in-law), Keith Langford (best friend), Pepper (beloved cat), and Buttercup (beloved dog). Kathy and John’s marriage grew for 37 years. Her family tree continues to grow through her children: Jennifer Ammann (deceased), Jessica Snider, Tiffany Cook, Stephanie Ammann, Cassandra Ammann, Alyssa Ammann, and grandchildren: Alex Stember, Jacob Snider (deceased), Christian Snider, Keeley and Sutton Mendoza, and great grandbabies: Walker and Waylon Stember. There are also a host of friends who have been “adopted” into the family through the years, as Kathleen had a gift for welcoming others into her fold.
