Michael Bain Pharris

Michael Bain Pharris was born on July 24, 1970 in Lake Charles, LA to John Leo Pharris and Jennie Loving (Gale) Pharris. As a young boy, Mike got to see a lot of different parts of the country due to the nature of his dad's work as a Perry Bros. manager. After graduation from Oak Ridge High School in 1988, Mike enlisted in the U.S. Army. Due to an injury received during basic training, Mike received a medical discharge and returned to the Conroe area where he embarked on a career in the health care industry. Desiring to continue his education, Mike enrolled at Sam Houston State University where he completed his Bachelors of Arts and Master of Science and began a career in education for several years, working at Dueitt Middle School and Carl Wunsche Senior High School. Desiring a change in careers, Mike completed EMT training and worked at Houston Northwest Medical Center and later began his career at Cypress Creek EMS, where he attained the rank of Station Captain. Working at Cypress Creek EMS was the job he enjoyed the most. Throughout Mike's career, he was always helping others. That was his passion. Even though his illness was very aggressive, Mike maintained his sense of humor and was dedicated to making sure Chris, Katelyn and Jordyn, along with various pets, were well taken care of until the very end. Mike's hard work, integrity and unquestionable work ethic, earned him many awards and accolades throughout his career. Mike was a member of Spring Masonic Lodge #1174 as well as the CCEMS bike team and Spring Volunteer Fire Department. Mike is predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his dad. Mike is survived by his wife, Christine Yvette (Cadle) Pharris, his daughters, Katelyn Michelle Pharris and Jordyn Elizabeth Pharris, his mother, Jennie Pharris, his brother and sister-in-law, Art and Deb Pharris, his mother-in-law, Connie (Cowart) Cadle, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nick and Robin Cadle, his brother-in law and sister-in-law, Cliff and Nora Cadle, his brother-in-law, Paul Groba, II, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Stacy and Daniel Fletcher, nieces and nephews Jessica Pharris, Gracie Davis, Kirby and Bo Cabler, Gretchen and Clark Cadle and Chase and Emily Fletcher. Mike is also survived by several close friends of Katelyn and Jordyn who considered him their "Dad". A benefit to assist his family with medical and other expenses, is scheduled for Sunday, September 23 at Bareback Bar and Icehouse at 19940 Kuykendahl, from 11 am to 5 pm.
