Phillip "Terry" Sisk

Phillip Terry Sisk went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 28th, 2022 less than a week away from his 80th birthday. He will be reunited with his parents Cecil W. Sisk and Lolly Sisk Dorries, along with his brother Michael L. Sisk. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Lester and her husband Joel, and his Grandchildren; Vivian Rose Lester and Drew Lester. Terry also leaves behind two sisters, Sharon Kay Crowley and her husband Bill of Tomball Texas, and sister Carol S. Beckett of Aurora, Colorado. He also leaves behind four nieces; Kristen Crowley of Tomball, Texas; Kelly Schlitz and her husband Matt of Austin, Texas; Wendy Renee of Denver, Colorado and Robin Mannon of Aurora, Colorado, along with dozens of aunts, uncles and cousins. Terry was born in 1942 to Cecil and Lolly Sisk in Beaumont, Texas. He attended grade school in Amelia and the last 4 years of high school attended Southpark Highschool. He had a passion for bowling beyond what you would expect! At age 16, he bowled his first perfect score of 300 while bowling in a league with his Dad. He was a long-time member of the Professional Bowlers Association. He also loved to dance, and was an excellent dancer. Terry joined the Airforce and enjoyed the opportunities to meet people and travel to places around the world. As he put it “see places I probably would never have seen.” Other than a short time in the Fingerprinting Department of Beaumont Police Department, his employment was generally in the bookkeeping area. His attention to detail allowed him to not only enjoy, but be great at his job. Later he realized another passion of his; to sing. Every Sunday at Greenbriar Baptist Church near his home in Houston, he would sing a solo or two for the congregation. Terry was a proud man whose pride extended not only to his Mom and Dad, but to his daughter, son-in law, his grandchildren, brother and sisters, nieces and aunts, uncles and cousins. Terry will be remembered for many things. Among them was his incredible sense of humor ,a heart warming smile, and remarkable ability to make friends out of strangers. We have to say goodbye to one of the good ones! Terry will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. We will gather at a later date to honor Terry's life and share favorite stories and memories of our time together. We hope you'll share your favorite memories as well.
