Rhonda Snyder

We would like to celebrate the life of Rhonda Fudge Snyder. Rhonda was born on December 7, 1960, and passed away April 22, 2026. Rhonda was born in Conroe TX, the youngest of five daughters of William Clyde and Elizabeth Ann Fudge. The family lived in Conroe, Dallas, Mississippi and New Orleans before settling in the Aldine area of Houston. As a child Rhonda was a tomboy. She enjoyed playing sports and being a little rowdy with her sister Kathi and all of the neighborhood kids. Rhonda attended Aldine MacArthur Senior High School where she competed on the tennis team and graduated in 1978. Rhonda went to work, along with two of her sisters, Kathi and Vicki, at First City Bank in downtown Houston. She would work in the financial industry at several different institutions for the next 45 years where she made many lasting friendships. Rhonda continued those tomboy tendencies into later life and would meet her soul mate on the softball field. Don and Rhonda became a couple in 1990, married in 1991 and remained side by side for the next 36 years. In 1994 her daughter Jessica was born and Rhonda's other true love came to be. Rhonda loved being a mother to Jessica and cherished every moment she could spend with her Family. Rhonda was also a loving Step Mother to Brian and Stephen, and mother in law to Brian's wife Rachel. Then came Brian and Rachel's three sons and Rhonda's beloved grandsons. She loved the opportunity to be around children again. Rhonda was always the biggest personality in the room. She loved to laugh and have fun, and if you were in a room with her you could not help but to have that fun and that energy carry over to you also. She loved to be around people, she could and would talk to everyone. No one was ever a stranger for long. Rhonda also loved and had a soft spot in her heart for animals. She loved, cared for and spoiled her own pets. But it wasn't just her own animals, many times she would find stray animals and bring them in and care for them while she would tirelessly try to find their home and return them to their owner. Rhonda's other true love in life were her beloved Houston Astros. She was a Texans fan also but that fandom paled in comparison to how she felt about the Astro's and especially who she called her "LIL Man", Jose Altuve. If she could she would have watched all 162 games every season. That gave her a tremendous amount of Joy. Rhonda is survived by her Loving Husband of 35 years, Don and her Precious Daughter Jessica. She is also survived by her Step Son Brian, Daughter in Law Rachel and their three sons Jude, Caleb and Silas. As well as Step Son Stephen. Rhonda is also survived by her four sisters and their families. Deborah Baack and Husband Samuel. Vicki Campbell and Husband Mark Kline. Trish Johnson, Kathi Phillips and Husband Bobby. Nephews, Samuel Baack and wife Heather, Jason Hamilton and Wife Elizabeth and Jeremy Phillips. As well as Great Nieces Hollyanne Wilkes and Husband Mike, and Audrey Hamilton. In life Rhonda was always one to determine her own path rather than to follow the crowd. In this next phase, she is doing the same thing. She is setting the path for all of us to follow.
