Sarah Jane Rosenlund

Sarah was born September 27, 2008 in Houston, Texas. She is survived by her devoted parents, Steven and Wendy Rosenlund, her brothers, Jacob and Michael, and little sister Rachel. She is also survived by grandparents, John and Penny Naegle, Scott and Susan Rosenlund, great grandmother, Alda Axson, great grandmother, Geraldine Peterson, and great grandfather, Mark Angus. Sarah’s uncles and aunts are Scott and Jordan Peterson, Jonathan and Stephanie Peterson, James and Patricia Fry, Mike and Andrea Selleck, Derek and Kristi Kerr, Ryan and Emily Rathke, Brian and Crystal Rosenlund, John and Amber Creed, David and Melissa Richards and Corey and Becky Brassard. Sarah has 25 cousins who loved her very much. Sarah is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Don Peterson. Sarah Jane was full of joy and happiness. Her smile could light up a room and her contagious laughter brightened our lives. She was only with us a brief 4 ½ years, but they were years filled with love, excitement, dancing, singing, running, helping, wonder and strength. Sarah loved playing with her brothers, her sister and “twin” cousin, Lily, who was born four days after Sarah. She loved her cats, Dot and Dash; especially Dash. She loved chocolate, avocados, grapefruit, and kiwi. She loved her long, green flower dress, and her smocked blue dress. Her favorite color was purple. Sarah loved swimming and doing front rolls off the diving board; she loved to swing and jump on the trampoline. She was always in motion and gave the very best greetings and hugs. Sarah loved going to grandma’s house, helping in the kitchen and picking purple “flowers”. Sarah made special connections with all who were close to her. She had a beautiful smile for everyone. A few weeks before her 4th birthday Sarah Jane was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. She bore this trial with strength and grace, touching many lives in the process including her many doctors, nurses and therapists. Her family will be forever grateful for their loving care. Our beloved Sarah Jane left this earth to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 10, 2013. Sarah knew the first Article of Faith.
