Barbara Stifter McGuire

January 9, 1927 - March 25, 2022

Barbara McGuire, 95, of Spring, Texas passed away peacefully on March 25, 2022. Barbara was born on January 9, 1927 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Bertha and Gara Stifter. Barbara married Hartley McGuire and had five children. The family lived in Minneapolis and Tulsa, Oklahoma and eventually Spring, Texas. Barbara volunteered and joined many organizations over the years including American Red Cross, Republican Women, and Northwest Women's Club. Barbara was a member of Cypress Creek Christian Church and volunteered for many positions over the years. Barbara was a greeter for the church and enjoyed meeting new people. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Hartley, and sons Patrick and Tom. She leaves behind her sons Terry and Tim and his wife Margot; her daughter Katy and husband Monte Ramey; grandchildren Matt Ramey and wife Mallory, Michael Ramey and wife Dallas, Chris Ramey and wife Tiffany, Austin Ramey and fiancé Ashley Gaston, Hartley McGuire, and Erin McGuire; and four great grandchildren. She will be missed by all of her family and friends and the staff at Wood Glen Court assisted living center. Services will be April 8 at Cypress Creek Christian Church at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cypress Creek Christian Church or your favorite charity. Addison Funeral Home will not be directing the Memorial Service at Cypress Creek Christian Church. Please have all flowers sent directly to the church for the service.
