Debra Lynn Kelly
February 3, 1955 - August 7, 2021
Debra “Deb” Lynn Cooper Kelly, 66, of Houston, TX, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 7, 2021. She was born on February 3, 1955, in Ferriday, LA. She was a graduate of Boothville-Venice High School in Boothville, LA. Deb is survived by her husband, Timothy James Kelly; son, Timothy “Jason” Kelly, and wife, Samantha Cole-Kelly; daughter, Julie Kelly Milnar, and partner, Paul Howell; grandchildren, Emma Rae Milnar, and Dante Jordan; sisters, Wallie Saunier, Katherine Mayer, Margaret Fowler; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Wallace Paul “Do” Cooper; mother, Helen Estelle Holland Cooper; and sister, Rosemary Lee. Deb loved Jesus with all her heart and obeyed his commandment, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” She loved deeply but tolerated little. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, Gigi to her grandchildren, and a caretake for so many others. From babies to adults, she gave love, food, time, and knowledge to everyone that would receive it. Deb kept a scripture journal, and the last verse she noted was Proverbs 3:18; Wisdom Bestows Well-Being 18She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed. Just like wisdom, Deb was a tree of life and if you took hold of her, you would be blessed. Her voice will always be in our heads to keep us pushing to live and enjoy the rest of our lives until we can see her again. Visitation will be at 10:00am, on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Harvest Family Church, 14950 Cypress North Houston Rd., Cypress, TX. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am, in the church followed by a burial service at Klein Memorial Park Cemetery, 14711 Cypress North Houston Rd., Cypress, TX 77429 at 12:00pm.
