MAGNOLIA, TX – Jane A. Kravetz, 91, of Magnolia, TX passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Stagecoach Senior Living in Magnolia, TX. She was born April 24, 1929, in Ironwood, MI, a daughter of Louis Wellington and Flora Curry (Snyder) Van Slyck. Jane had a very adventurous life growing up in Ironwood, MI with her fun loving siblings and enjoying all the fun the Great Lakes have to offer; especially Little Girl’s Point in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula where her family had a cabin on the shore of Lake Superior. Jane moved all around the country with the love of her life as John was transferred to many cities for work, managed a household of four wild boys when her hubby was traveling for work every week, and later enjoyed two girl grandchildren from afar as her family spread across the country. We hope you are reunited with your one true love and those two sons that sadly left this earth before you. Jane’s laugh, hugs, baking, and love will be missed. Jane’s passion was her art work; belonging to the Swartz Creek Area Art Guild, Swartz Creek, MI. Many of her paintings are displayed at https://JaneKravetz.weebly.com. She was a lover of nature and animals - especially kitties, her choir, the color red, coca-cola, pasties, roller skating, and an apple a day. She married John C. Kravetz in Ironwood, MI on December 30, 1950. Jane had four sons, Robert C. and wife Christine Kravetz of Peoria, AZ, Richard J. Kravetz (deceased) and wife Kimberly Kravetz-Brunner of Laveen, AZ, James J. and wife Patty Kravetz of Magnolia, TX, and Joseph Kravetz (deceased) and wife Linda Kravetz of Porter, TX; two grandchildren, Michele with husband Trent Jurewicz and Krista with fiancée Daniel Thurston; and two great-grandchildren, Louis and Wilhelmina. She is preceded in death by her brother, William, and sisters, Catherine and Nancy. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, an inurnment of ashes will be held later this year at St. Robert’s Bellarmine Catholic Cemetery in Flushing, MI. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association® The Addison family and staff of Addison Funeral Home extend condolences to the Kravetz family and friends during this difficult time.
