Martha "Jan" Kraner

In Loving Memory of Martha Janice (Jan) Kraner, Loving Wife, Devoted Mother, Cherished Grandmother, and Adored Great Grandmother. Jan passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024, in Houston, TX, surrounded by her loving family. She was 85 years old. Born on August 6, 1938, in Corpus Christi, TX, Jan was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Jan was a devoted member of The Bammel Road Church of Christ for nearly 50 years, where she found lifelong friends, community, and a deep connection to her faith. Her love for God was evident in every aspect of her life, guiding her actions and filling her heart with compassion for others. Jan dedicated 20 years of her life to nurturing young minds as a teacher at Northland Christian School. Her passion for education and unwavering patience touched the lives of countless children, instilling in them a love for God and learning that would stay with them throughout their lives. Jan was known by her family as Gram, and Gram’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She cherished time with her family, creating lasting memories filled with love, laughter, and joy. She loved nothing more than taking her loved ones on unforgettable adventures to Destin and Disney World, where laughter, love, and tacos were always abundant. Jan is survived by her BFF, DeAnna Graves; her loving children, Rob (Courtney) Kraner and Cliff (Dena) Kraner; her cherished grandchildren, Austin Edwards, Erinne Edwards, Keaton Kraner, Kylie Kraner, Koen (Melissa) Kraner, Annie (Trace) Pantzis, Brady Kraner, and Kinsey Kraner; and her beautiful great granddaughter, Arizona Rose Tecza. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 61 years, Bob Kraner and her precious daughter, Jana Austin. Though she may no longer be with us in person, Jan/Gram’s love, kindness, and spirit will continue to shine bright, bringing comfort and warmth to all who knew her. May her soul rest in eternal peace, knowing that she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
