Randal Crowe III

Randal H. Crowe, III, died peacefully in his sleep early Friday morning, February 15, 2019. Randy is survived by his wife of 10 years, Trisha, and children Kimberly and Randal IV. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Taylor and Randal V, a brother Bruce and his wife Jane. Randy was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam war. He was born in Malden, Massachusetts, but primarily grew up in Macon, GA, among his many cousins. After his military service he attended Middle Georgia College. Soon after, Randy began a 35 year long career at Bank of America’s Fleet Leasing Company in Houston. He started in sales and worked his way up to become the VP of Fleet Leasing. Randy’s responsibilities included sales and business development in the bank’s southwest foot print. He was instrumental in building the lowest performing territory into the second largest volume market in the entire company. Randy’s innovation helped him to reimagine, design and implement the first “synthetic lease” used in the vehicle group, which in turn allowed him to sign the company’s largest customer on record. In 1999, Randy launched Fleetnet2 Financial Services, Inc., a lease facilitator company. What began as a small business quickly grew to a portfolio of 20 plus commercial customers with revenue exceeding $1.0 million each calendar year. In addition, Randy developed an internet enabled fleet management program called “Data Mart” enabling him to track and display current fleet operating costs in real time. He sold this company in 2004 but continued to work in the fleet leasing industry 6 more years before retiring in 2010. Randy enjoyed long distance running, and In the 90's, was proud to have finished the New York City Marathon, the London Marathon, and the Houston Marathon. In his younger days, he enjoyed off-shore fishing in his boat, and loved golf for most of his life, and certainly since retiring. In 2007, Randy met Trisha on a golf course at a Single Houston Area Golfers event and a short time later they were married. After his retirement, Randy and his wife Trisha became members of Gleannloch Pines Golf Club where he was involved in many of the men’s groups as well as club tournament play. He and Trisha loved taking golf trips and exploring new courses around the country, and, he was able to enjoy golfing almost daily with his retired buddies and on weekends with his wife Trisha. They say “In order to find a man’s true character, play golf with him”, and if you ever played golf with Randy, then you know he was loved and respected by all. He loved his family, friends and most of all held a love of life in general. He worked hard, played hard, was competitive, and most of all determined. A life well played.
