Suzanne Marie Clennon

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, nana, friend, cancer warrior, and beautiful person. Suzanne (Suzie/Sue) Marie Clennon passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on November 15, 2025. Sue (or Suzie) was born as Suzanne Marie Nuti on March 29, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois. She was born to a father known as Americo, Henry, Harry, Jack, or Muzzy Nuti. The laughter and love he generated was as abundant as his name. Her mother was Catherine (Emily) Nuti, who decided that Suzie would be her baby girl/youngest. She was welcomed into this world with two of the best older sisters she could ask for. Her oldest sibling, Lucille (Lou), was 10 years her elder, and always the eldest sister Suzie deserved. She was also fortunate enough to have a second sister only 6 years apart, Linda. She felt so lucky to have them both throughout every season of each other’s lives. In 1968, Sue became a mother. Kimberly (Kimmy/Kim) Sue Coken was one of Sue’s greatest accomplishments. Together, they navigated moves from Chicago, to Clearwater Beach, Florida, to Houston, Texas, and more! They were a team, and Sue proved her strength, resilience, and perseverance. Then, she found new hope in what would be her soulmate - Arthur (Artie/Art) Stanley Clennon. They found each other, and what began as a friendship and genuine care for one another blossomed into the decision to commit, merge, and build a life together. Married in 1983, Sue became a loving mother to Art’s four children, Ryan, David, Erin, and Devin. They were now a brand new family of seven trying to navigate the world. Then, came the last piece of Art & Sue’s puzzle - Jack Patrick Clennon. Born in 1986, they’d finally completed their family with the product of their love for one another. It was also then in Colorado that Sue realized she found peace in the mountains as much as the beach. Sue (or Suzie) was one of the most beautiful, complicated, complex, creative, and unique humans many of us may ever know. She was an amazing cook (thanks to her natural talent and Nuti family heritage!), the “hostess with the mostest”, a phenomenal gardener/green thumb, and took such pride and joy in her family. What she was MOST known for though, was her ability to show and share her love through her creativity and talent. The countless quilts, pillows, blankets, wall hangings, and crafts that Sue painstakingly and lovingly created over thousands of hours to gift to the people she cared about is a lasting legacy that will carry on for so much longer than her time here on earth. Six years ago, Sue’s life was turned upside down. She was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer, and she faced it with the same strength and perseverance she has shown her entire life. The eternal gratefulness that Sue wanted to express to everyone at Kelsey Seybold for everything they’ve done for her was clear. Especially Dr. Shafi and Nurse Daisy. While dealing with these unimaginable circumstances, she found refuge in the Canopy Group - a community that has a specific group, founded by her friend Alex, that were all dealing with Stage 4 cancer. Sue asked to thank them for the support, friendship, and guidance they provided her in such uncertain times. The decision of who to trust with the sunset of your life can be one of the most important, and Houston hospice was invaluable. To give someone as strong and independent as Sue the ability and comfort to make this transition as easy as they could was priceless. Sue herself and our entire family cannot thank you enough. Her heart was with her family and her grandchildren, and she will be missed by so many. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Art, her two beautiful children, Kim and Jack, his wife Kristin, her blended family children Ryan, Erin, Devin, and David (who predeceased her and will be there to greet her!). She is immensely proud to also be Nana to the greatest joys in life - her 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Sue Clennon’s memorial service in Houston was held on Monday, November 24th, 2025 at the Addison Funeral Home in Spring, TX. The visitation began at 1pm, with the memorial service at 2pm. Minnesota Service Information: The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 12:00pm at Queen Of Angels Church in Austin, Minnesota. Luncheon at the church to follow Mass. Interment will then take place at the Oakwood Cemetery at 3:00pm. Queen of Angels Church: 1001 Oakland Ave E, Austin, MN 55912 Oakwood Cemetery: 1800 4th St NW, Austin, MN 55912 PLEASE bring any creations you may have from Sue to show off/honor her! She would be so proud. You are welcome to have any flowers for Sue delivered to the Queen of Angels Church, or in lieu of flowers, Sue would love for everyone to donate to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital in her honor. We are working on a possible live stream of the funeral for any who are unable to attend in person, and will update everyone as soon as we have more information.
