In Memoriam: Terry Woods (1966-2024) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terry Woods on March 8, 2024, at the age of 57. A loving husband, devoted father, cherished son, and dear friend, Terry left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Terry was born on October 11, 1966, in Waco, TX. He graduated from Klein High School and received nine full-ride football scholarship offers. He chose the offer from Texas State (formally known as Southwest Texas). As a young boy, he accepted Christ as his Savior and carried that faith throughout his lifetime. From that day forward, he embarked on a journey filled with love, laughter, and a sense of adventure. He carried his tenacity into his battle with cancer, not once but twice. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am on March 18th at Southwinds Baptist Church, 16811 FM 2920 Tomball TX 77377. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Woods, with whom he shared over 27 years of unwavering love and companionship. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the kind of love that withstands the test of time. Terry's legacy extends to his four children, each a testament to his dedication as a father. He is survived by his son Max Woods and wife Rosalind, daughters Tatiana Crepinsek and husband Zane and their children Hazel and Harper, Peyton Moss and husband Kris, and Bailey Woods – all of whom carry with them the values instilled by their father – integrity, kindness, and an unyielding commitment to family. He is also survived by his parents, Joe and Sue Woods, who provided the foundation of love and support that shaped Terry into the remarkable person he became. Terry is also survived by his sisters: Teresa Johnson and husband Russell, and Tammy Edmonds and husband Tim; who share in the grief of losing a beloved brother but also hold dear the countless cherished memories of a lifetime spent together. Terry was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking the kids on golf cart rides. Going to garage sales became a treasure hunt, turning mundane items into tales of adventure. Beyond the outdoors, he enjoyed laughing and playing games with his family. Whether sharing stories around the Sunday lunch table, offering words of wisdom, or lending a helping hand; Terry was known for his unsolicited advice. Terry also shared his love for giving back through Operation Christmas Child, where he participated in the heartwarming tradition of preparing gift-filled shoeboxes for children in need around the world. His commitment to spreading joy reflected his compassionate and generous spirit. The family vacation spot, aptly named "The Barn," was the perfect place to relax and became a backdrop for countless memories—memories of times spent together, the good, the bad, and the ugly. As we mourn his physical absence, we find solace in the belief that Terry's soul now resides in a place of eternal peace and joy. May the memories of his love and the moments we shared bring comfort to all who grieve his passing.
